Job Responsibilities
- Load, unload, receive, and organize drywall, construction materials, tools, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Safely operate company vans and trucks to transport materials, tools, and supplies to various job sites.
- Accurately pick, verify, and prepare orders for delivery to ensure materials arrive complete and on schedule.
- Deliver materials to construction sites throughout New York City, with approximately 90% of deliveries located in Manhattan.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock organization, tracking, and routine inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Organize, clean, sort, and maintain construction tools, equipment, and shop inventory.
- Perform routine company vehicle maintenance, including cleanliness, oil level checks, basic inspections, and coordinating vehicle servicing as needed.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, foremen, warehouse personnel, and field crews regarding deliveries and material needs.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Provide support at job sites when required, including material handling, staging, and general labor assistance.
- Safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Valid and clean driver's license with a safe driving record (i.e no violations/incidents)
- Previous experience as a driver for a construction company is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Manhattan streets, routes, and traffic patterns.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
