Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Home Care team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing expertise across various specialties, with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. A strong background in medical documentation, patient assessment, medication administration, and infection control is essential. The RN will assist in training staff, and support training initiatives to uphold excellence in home health services.
CompassionCare provides high-quality home care services to adults aged 18 and older. We serve a diverse community of clients with a variety of needs, including brain injuries, Alzheimer’s and other dementias, geriatric care, and mental and behavioral health support.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise home care nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive physical examinations.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Coordinate care, case management, and develop individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
- Supervise medication administration.
- Oversee infection control protocols and aseptic techniques across all home visits.
- Assist in the hiring process, training staff, and evaluation of staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
- Support staff in specialized areas including Alzheimer's/dementia care, behavioral health, and geriatric health.
- Facilitate ongoing education for staff.
- Promote a culture of safety.
Experience
- Prefer experience with a focus on home health or community-based care settings.
- Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Proficiency in managing multiple cases
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics (memory/dementia care), patients with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
