Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, with expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and ensuring that all facilities are operating efficiently. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by performing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and fabricating parts as needed.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems, including troubleshooting and using tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support ongoing operations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff when required, providing guidance and support in their tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot using an ohmmeter.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance.
- Ability to fabricate components as needed for repairs or improvements.
- Experience supervising team members or junior staff is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
