SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Sales Coordinators serve as the ‘face’ of group events for HeyDay Norman and Bricktown and work with guests to create memorable events! The goal of the Sales Coordinator is to exceed budgeted sales targets of group event sales revenues through targeted prospecting efforts, conversion of inbound leads, increase repeat business and upselling sales strategies. This is the role of a proven leader with hospitality experience and a true passion for the entertainment industry and customer service. They must demonstrate exceptional project follow-through, strong time management skills, a proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals, a desire to succeed, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while helping lead the sales team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for event sales growth through repeat events, prospecting new events, and referrals
- Develop strategies by researching market opportunities and networking within community for sales to exceed group event goals
- Work independently and be accountable for measurable results
- Prepare weekly event sales report for Leadership
- Attend weekly sales department meetings
- Research incoming conferences, community events and sports tournaments to develop a strategic plan for event opportunities
- Prepare and carry out weekly agenda for rebook calls, cold calls, and in-person prospecting visits
- Strong knowledge in drafting event contracts through CRM platform (Salesforce preferred)
- Attend weekly manager meetings to present upcoming events and pertinent sales related information
- Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable for group
- Answer and return phone calls and email requests in a timely manner
- Strong negotiating skills to close deals
- Attend exclusive events on-site, as appropriate
- Respond and resolve group event issues
- Host tours and on-site visits to the facility
- Execute local-level marketing campaigns and partnerships to build business
- Responsible for sales office upkeep and event supplies inventory
- Enthusiastic brand ambassador both on-site and at regular networking events
- Restaurant, hospitality, or entertainment industry
- Strong knowledge of local market and opportunities
- Experience with CRM platform, preferably Salesforce
