As part of our continued growth across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region, we are seeking a collaborative, motivated, and client focused Project Manager to support and lead the delivery of water, wastewater, and water resources projects for municipal and regional clients.
In this role, you will partner with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that address critical water infrastructure needs. You will be responsible for managing projects from planning and design through execution and closeout while supporting business development efforts and fostering strong client relationships.
You will work closely with technical leaders, project delivery teams, and client account teams to ensure successful project outcomes while maintaining Jacobs' commitment to safety, quality, innovation, and client service. Leveraging your project management experience, communication skills, and technical expertise, you will help deliver meaningful infrastructure improvements while advancing your professional growth within a collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
Serve as a Project Manager for water, wastewater, and water resources projects, overseeing project delivery from planning through design and construction.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams to successfully deliver projects that meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, staffing, risk management, and contract administration.
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal and regional clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Coordinate with technical leads and subject matter experts to develop innovative and practical solutions for water infrastructure challenges.
Support business development activities, including client engagement, proposal development, project interviews, and pursuit strategy execution.
Mentor and support junior engineers and project team members through coaching, technical guidance, and career development.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for growth within existing client programs and new markets.
Ensure compliance with Jacobs project delivery practices, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Demonstrate leadership through collaboration, accountability, integrity, and support of Jacobs' Culture of Caring.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5 to 10 years of progressive experience delivering and managing water, wastewater, and/or water resources infrastructure projects.
Experience leading project teams and managing project scope, schedule, budget, and client communications.
Understanding of municipal water and wastewater systems, treatment facilities, conveyance infrastructure, stormwater systems, drainage improvements, flood mitigation projects, or related infrastructure.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of client service.
Experience supporting proposal development, project pursuits, and client relationship management.
Ability to analyze technical challenges and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions.
Ideally, you'll also have
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
Experience delivering projects for Louisiana municipalities, utilities, drainage districts, or state agencies.
Water resources experience related to drainage, stormwater management, watershed planning, flood resilience, or coastal infrastructure.
Design build, progressive design build, CMAR, or alternative project delivery experience.
Experience working directly with regulatory agencies and permitting processes.
Proven ability to mentor staff and contribute to team development and growth.

The base salary range for this position is $85,200.00 to $111,825.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
