Join our team as a Bartender at a private golf club in Bloomfield Hills. Pay starts at $7 per hour plus tips. This position focuses on personalized service, member recognition, and maintaining an upscale, hospitality-driven atmosphere. Members expect premium interactions and high-quality beverages after a round of golf or during exclusive club events. Must be able to work mostly days and weekends.
Core Responsibilities
- Greet club members and their guests by name, developing a personalized understanding of their drink and food preferences.
- Serve food, premium liquors, fine wines, and classic cocktails with impeccable presentation. Take carryout orders.
- Manage POS transactions, charging drinks accurately to member accounts, house accounts, or major credit cards.
- Maintain a pristine, upscale bar environment, ensuring all glassware, tools, and surfaces are spotless.
- Upsell premium wine vintages and top-shelf spirits during dining service or special club tournaments.
- Restock the bar with fresh garnishes, ice, and premium inventory before, during, and after shifts.
- Adhere strictly to club policies, dress codes, and local alcohol safety regulations.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in luxury hospitality, country clubs, fine dining, or high-end hotel bars.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and decorum with members.
- Advanced knowledge of wine varietals, proper wine service, and classic mixology techniques.
- Polished verbal communication skills and a well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and major holidays or club tournaments.
- Relevant beverage service certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
Pay: $23.08 - $25.49 per hour
