Landscape Construction Foreman
EAQ Landscape Contracting, LLC is a premier landscape design, construction, and maintenance company based in Glastonbury, CT. We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to join our growing team. The Landscape Construction Foreman will lead a crew of 1–3 team members on a variety of residential and commercial landscape construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating daily jobsite activities, managing labor hours, ordering materials, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on a daily basis.
- Coordinate site preparation for hardscape and landscape installations.
- Manage job hours, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
- Read and interpret site plans, grades, and elevations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.
- Order materials and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Operate construction equipment and field tools as needed.
- Work alongside crew members to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- Excavation and general site work
- Site grading and understanding elevations
- Base preparation and compaction for patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Installation of natural stone steps
- Drainage systems, including yard drains, patio drains, and rain leaders
- Installation of underground utilities, including electrical conduit, water, sewer, and drainage piping
- Concrete flatwork
- Site preparation for paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and water features
- Planting bed preparation and topsoil installation
- Operation of mini excavators, skid steers, and other construction equipment
- Construction lasers and other field layout tools
- Ability to manage a job site in a safe, organized, and productive manner
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL Class A or B preferred (Class A strongly preferred)
- Experience operating non-CDL dump trucks and towing equipment/trailers
- Comfortably using a mobile app to clock in and out each day
