Position Summary
The Retail Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading store associates. This role helps ensure operational efficiency, maintains company standards, and contributes to achieving sales and profitability goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service
- Assist in achieving store sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Deliver and promote outstanding customer service standards.
- Support sales initiatives, promotions, and merchandising programs.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor sales performance and recommend actions to improve results.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and motivate retail associates during assigned shifts.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
Store Operations
- Support daily opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and merchandise presentation.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with scheduling and labor management.
Inventory & Loss Prevention
- Support inventory counts, audits, and stock management activities.
- Minimize inventory shrinkage through adherence to loss prevention practices.
- Ensure accurate processing of shipments, transfers, and returns.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing reports and analyzing store performance metrics.
- Maintain employee records and operational documentation.
- Communicate company initiatives and updates to store staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of retail experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements
