Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our team on a part-time basis, working weekends. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital nursing care in a dynamic setting, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of support during weekend hours. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact on residents’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care by administering medications, treatments, and injections following established protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to ensure optimal health status.
- Manage acute pain and assist with complex medical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and ventilator management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with residents’ needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Perform laboratory specimen collection, processing, and basic diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- Provide triage services for urgent health concerns, prioritizing care based on severity and urgency.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin therapy, dialysis, IV infusion, ostomy care, and infection control procedures.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and laboratory techniques.
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or trauma centers; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care is highly valued.
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques, sterile processing, tube feeding management, and airway management.
- Skilled in patient assessment across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal resuscitation procedures (NRP), and hospice & palliative medicine.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and providing patient education on health coaching and discharge planning.

Pay: $38.91 - $46.86 per hour
