Position Summary
The Warehouse Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse floor operations by coordinating department supervisors, maintaining efficient workflows, resolving operational issues, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role serves as the central point of communication between departments to promote productivity, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations across multiple departments.
- Lead and support department supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Communicate daily priorities, operational updates, and workflow changes across departments.
- Monitor the movement of orders from receiving through picking, packing, customer service, and delivery.
- Identify and resolve operational delays, workflow issues, and communication gaps.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and provide timely, professional resolutions.
- Support customer service operations during high-volume periods.
- Coordinate inventory movement and ensure product availability across warehouse departments.
- Work closely with supervisors to address inventory discrepancies and operational challenges.
- Monitor employee performance through department supervisors and provide coaching and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and assist in the development of supervisory staff.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Ensure departments consistently follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Prepare daily operational reports and communicate key issues to management.
- Collaborate with management to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, and overall performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse leadership or management experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in warehouse operations, warehouse management, supply-chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as business needs require.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
