Duties
- Building police & fire vehicles
lights, sirens and all modifications
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Automotive skills: none necessary but basic mechanic skills and having some knowledge of automotive electrical is helpful. If you lack this, don’t worry, we are willing to train anyone who is willing to learn
Attention to detail: can you comprehend basic written and verbal instructions, and act on them? If so, you will fit in with our team perfectly
Positive attitude and adaptability: Our company is growing fast, and we wouldn't be able to accomplish all of the great milestones we've hit so far without a positive team behind us. We are looking for individuals who will excel and rise to the task under pressure.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Clean DMV/background check is required
Pre-employment drug screening
Here are some things you will do on a regular basis:
Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles
wire vehicle electrical systems
Problem solving
Assemble complicated vehicles builds
Work closely with your team leader
Work some Saturdays

Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, including familiarity with different makes and models.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for vehicle maintenance, contributing to our commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose electrical issues using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
