Rapid Prototyping and Engineering is growing and currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist to join our team in Franklin, IN. Responsibilities:
- Use CAM software to program, set up, and run low-volume, tight-tolerance prototype parts.
- Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools during the machining process.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain detailed records of machining operations and outcomes.
Preferred Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical certification is a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in complex CNC lathe machining.
- 7+ years of programming with GibbsCAM or comparable software.
- Multi-axis workcenter experience
- PUMA-SMX
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other machining equipment effectively.
*Candidates must also achieve a sufficient score on an in-house technical evaluation as part of the hiring process.
