American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a night shift, 7-on/7-off assignment supporting hybrid vascular room procedures, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.

Provide imaging and scrub coverage for the hybrid vascular room outside of normal scheduled hours

Support three vascular surgeons performing arterial, visceral, and venous interventions including AAA stent and peripheral intervention with possible conversion to open procedures

Scrub for the percutaneous portion of cases; a surgical tech is available if the case converts to open

Responsibilities include tray setup, injector and table operation, X-ray and imaging setup including DSA, and radiation safety

Scrub and assist the vascular surgeon with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other interventional and closure devices

Night shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 19:00 to 05:00 on a 7-on/7-off rotation

On-call coverage from 1600-0730 Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call required on Saturday and Sunday

Average of two call-in or late cases per week

Work every other weekend as part of the schedule

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab, IR, or Special Procedures Tech

ACLS and ARRT required for Techs without RCIS; RCIS required for Techs without ARRT

BLS certification required
-
License required if applicable

Permanent license must be in-hand at time of submission; temporary licenses are not accepted

Previous travel experience required

Skills in circulate procedures, cardiac cath lab procedures, rotablator atherectomy, and scrub procedures

Experience with Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Ventricular Assist Device insertion preferred

IV therapy and central line insertion/management assistance skills preferred

Ability to scrub open cases is a strong plus

RTO is limited during the holiday season and holiday rotation coverage is required

Facility-provided training modules average 4 hours and are completed prior to start
