Join our dynamic team as a Baby Gymnastics Instructor, where you will inspire and nurture the physical development and confidence of our youngest learners. In this energetic role, you will design engaging, age-appropriate movement activities that promote motor skills, coordination, and social interaction. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a safe, fun environment that encourages babies to explore their physical potential while fostering positive early childhood experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's growth through movement and play. Classes are from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Lead lively and safe baby gymnastics classes, guiding infants through age-appropriate exercises that enhance motor skills, balance, and coordination
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate sensory activities, music, and playful movements tailored to different developmental stages
- Monitor each child's safety closely, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's progress, milestones, and ways to support continued development at home
- Maintain a clean and organized class environment, preparing equipment and materials for each session
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages social interaction among babies and their families
- Stay informed about the latest early childhood physical activity techniques and incorporate best practices into your instruction
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings, especially with infants or toddlers
- Knowledge of child development principles related to physical growth and motor skills acquisition
- Background in sports coaching or sports-specific training instruction such as gymnastics, martial arts (karate, judo), cheerleading, or climbing is highly desirable
- Certifications in First Aid and CPR (including AED operation) required; additional certifications in childcare or early childhood education are a plus
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Experience teaching physical education or sports coaching experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate leadership in a team environment while managing behavior management strategies for young children
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for promoting healthy activity habits from an early age
