Food Truck Cook / Driver — The Panini Truck Overview The Panini Truck is looking for a reliable, personable Cook/Driver interested in a long-term position with our team. Our menu specializes in chopped cheese and other made-to-order chopped sandwiches. This is a hands-on position involving cooking, driving, customer service, prep, stocking, cleaning, and basic care of the truck and generator. We can teach our menu and systems. We're looking for someone with good work ethic, common sense, reliability, and pride in their work. Responsibilities - Prep and cook sandwiches according to our recipes and standards. - Safely drive the food truck to events and service locations. - Provide friendly, professional customer service. - Take orders and operate the POS system. - Prep, load, stock, and organize the truck. - Wash dishes and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace. - Complete opening and closing procedures. - Check truck fluids, fuel, tires, and basic vehicle condition. - Fuel, check oil, and perform basic maintenance on the generator, including occasional oil and filter changes. - Properly operate and shut down cooking equipment and the generator. - Monitor inventory and communicate when supplies are running low. - Follow all food-safety and sanitation requirements. What We're Looking For - Valid driver's license and good driving record — required. - Cooking or restaurant experience preferred. - Friendly and comfortable working with customers. - Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. - Comfortable performing basic vehicle and generator maintenance. - Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet. - Willing to work some evenings, weekends, festivals, and events. - Washington Food Worker Card or ability to obtain one. - Looking for stable, long-term employment. This isn't just a cooking position. We're looking for someone who can help take ownership of the truck during their shift—keeping it clean, stocked, maintained, and ready to serve customers.
