We are currently seeking experienced Alarm Technicians for service and project work involving fire alarm, intrusion, and access control systems, with a focus on fire alarm and intrusion installation on large commercial sites. This full-time role is primarily daytime work with regional travel of 2-4 weeks at a time in a company vehicle after orientation. Hotel and food per diem are provided while traveling. Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion/burglar, and access control systems across large commercial environments, with a focus on fire alarm and intrusion device and cabling installation.

Program and test devices, ensuring full system functionality and compliance with local codes.

Perform inspections and repairs, including panel diagnostics, device replacements, and wiring corrections.

Work from blueprints, riser diagrams, and site layouts to install complete systems.

Pull, terminate, and label low-voltage wiring (18/2, Cat5e/Cat6, composite).

Install control panels, keypads, magnetic locks, strikes, door contacts, motion sensors, sirens, and card readers.

Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning with end users or inspectors.

Keep accurate documentation of service calls, installations, and work performed.

Drive company or personal vehicle to job sites, maintaining tools, PPE, and safety standards.
Requirements:

Prior experience installing and servicing fire alarm, intrusion, and access control systems.

State-required low-voltage and alarm licenses (fire/burg/intrusion/security) where applicable.

Knowledge of panels such as Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, DSC, Honeywell, etc.

Familiar with NFPA codes and ADA/fire/life safety compliance.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Comfortable with regional travel of 2-4 weeks at a time in a company vehicle, with daytime work schedules.

Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-service mindset.

Must have PPE, basic hand tools, and either a company or reliable personal vehicle.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 3 years).

Boom/scissor lift and confined space certifications are a plus.
