Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Assistant Project Manager to join our growing construction team. In this energetic role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Duties
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Office 365 supported tools and other construction scheduling tools to ensure timely project delivery.
- Support project managers with cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial analysis utilizing Excel data analysis and construction estimating software.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution on-site and in remote office settings.
- Prepare and review contracts, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information) to ensure clarity and compliance with project specifications.
- Use construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, civil engineering project management software, and HeavyBid for document control, progress tracking, and communication.
- Monitor safety protocols on site, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.
- Assist in analyzing project progress reports, identifying potential delays or issues early to implement corrective actions promptly.
- Support project managers with procurement activities, including tracking deliveries and managing procurement schedules.
- Contribute to project documentation efforts such as daily logs, safety reports, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation.
- Engage in effective time management practices to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
Experience
- Proven experience supporting construction projects with a focus on HVAC or mechanical systems management.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Primavera P6 or Primavera P3 for project scheduling; experience with civil engineering project management software is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid or similar software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction management processes including cost management, contracts administration, and project coordination.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities and understanding of safety standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills for reviewing schedules, budgets, and project performance metrics.
- Prior experience using Bluebeam for document markup and collaboration is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members at all levels of the organization.
