American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg position in Albany, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus
-
Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg unit with floating to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
-
Patient ratio of 1:6, with CNA support generally at 1:8 to 1:10

Patient population includes general med/surg diagnoses with telemetry monitoring available on other units
-
Ventilator equipment on unit includes BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger (used at night only)
-
PICC line access available; no dedicated IV team
-
RT and Pharmacy support available 24/7
-
EMR system: MEDITECH
-
12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
On-call for low census
-
Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Floating required within the assigned unit cluster

Active RN license in Georgia (GA state or Compact)
-
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

At least 1 prior travel assignment required

MEDITECH EMR experience preferred

Must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift

A valid driver's license is required for consideration

Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue

Floor-specific orientation provided (16 hours)

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

RTO requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the time of assignment
