We’re seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and engaging educator to lead enrichment experiences for our 1st through 6th grade students! We are especially interested in candidates who can bring a language to our students - such as Spanish, American Sign Language (ASL), or another language - but we are also open to candidates with experience and passion in areas such as art, theater, music, dance, or other creative and extracurricular activities.
This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm in a hands-on, interactive environment. You do not need to be a traditional classroom teacher to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who can bring a unique skill set, enthusiasm, and a love of working with elementary-aged children.
The right candidate will:
- Enjoy working with children ages 6–12 and appreciate their energy, curiosity, and creativity
- Have experience teaching, coaching, leading activities, or working with elementary-aged children
- Bring a strong interest or area of expertise in a language, art, theater, music, dance, or another enrichment area
- Be confident creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage participation and exploration
- Be collaborative, organized, and excited to work as part of a larger educational team
- Bring a playful, encouraging, and student-centered approach
- Value hands-on learning and enjoy finding creative ways to engage different learners
In this role, you’ll:
- Design and lead weekly enrichment lessons for mixed-age groups of 1st–3rd and 4th–6th grade students
- Provide engaging, interactive experiences that allow students to explore your area of expertise
- Encourage students to develop new skills while building confidence, creativity, and curiosity
- Incorporate hands-on activities, movement, games, conversation, music, storytelling, performance, art, or other appropriate experiences
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to complement the broader curriculum when appropriate
- Create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable trying new things
Examples of areas we may be interested in include:
- Spanish or other world languages
- American Sign Language (ASL)
- Visual art
- Theater or drama
- Creative writing or storytelling
- Cultural studies
- Other creative, academic, or extracurricular areas that would enrich our students’ experience
You don’t need to check every box. If you have a unique skill, passion, or area of expertise that you think would be a great fit for elementary-aged students, we’d love to hear from you.
