Chief Operator
Duties - Operate and maintain a 6MGD Filtration Facility for the M.R.V.W.D. including maintaining all sample schedules.
Qualifications- The following is the minimum required:
High School Graduate or equivalent Certification,
Massachusetts Driver’s License
Massachusetts Certification as a Grade 2T
Drinking Water Operator Preferred or Grade 1T with water treatment experience and willing to obtain a Grade 2T within a year.
Experience in the following areas are required
Complete knowledge of the operations of a Water Filtration
Plant including but not limited to ultraviolet, ozonation and iron
and manganese removal
Knowledge of SCADA Systems and Microsoft Windows
D.E.P reporting, completing all chemical reporting and pumping records
Overseeing of a D.E.P sample schedule and completing sampling as
required.
Applicant Must Be In Good Physical Condition
Days of Work Monday – Friday 7:30 am.-4:00 pm. Or as may be amended
Wage Grade 24 $31.89-$33.47 Stipends of $1000 per License/Certification
held up to a maximum of 4 licenses/certifications for a maximum of $4000
The employee will be required to work scheduled weekends and holidays and respond to call outs during non-working hours. The chosen candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and C.O.R.I. check before hiring and will be on a 3-month trial period.
