Position Summary:
Southern Ideal Door is seeking a dependable, hands-on Warehouse Lead to help launch and support our new Knoxville location. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company during the ground-floor buildout stage and help establish the operational foundation for the market.
Initially, the Knoxville branch will operate as a will-call and customer pickup location, with deliveries coordinated through our Charlotte distribution facility. Customers will be able to schedule deliveries through Charlotte while Knoxville focuses on warehouse organization, customer pickups, inventory support, and operational growth.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, dependable, and willing to wear multiple hats while helping create a strong operational culture from the beginning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, organize, stock, and stage incoming products and materials
- Prepare and verify customer pickup orders for accuracy and efficiency
- Assist customers, contractors, and dealers during will-call pickups
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment
- Coordinate with the Charlotte distribution team regarding scheduled deliveries and product transfers
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and warehouse organization
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Help establish warehouse procedures, organization systems, and operational workflows
- Support the General Manager with daily operational needs during the startup phase
- Maintain professionalism and strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Contribute to building a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture from the ground up
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or warehouse leadership experience preferred
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Basic computer and inventory system experience preferred
- Experience in garage doors, building materials, construction supply, or distribution is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to adapt as operations grow

Schedule:
- Monday–Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
- Occasional overtime as needed
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
