We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support toddler development across various domains including literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills.
- Provide attentive toddler care by supervising daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and outdoor play.
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to promote a respectful and safe learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, and following mandated reporting laws for child welfare incidents.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education techniques to support children with diverse needs.
- Conduct assessments of child development progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate to tailor instruction.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting, especially with toddlers.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, physical education, and foundational math skills.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare laws is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or special education.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols is essential.
- Experience with preschool teaching or private school environments is a plus but not mandatory.
