In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms to meet hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobby, elevators, and common spaces by sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and amenities to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards.
- Use proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning equipment or supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred; janitorial or industrial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning and chemical handling is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and safety procedures.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and manual handling tasks throughout shifts.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation while following safety guidelines related to chemical agents.
