Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with health guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety and well-being are prioritized
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or babysitting roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to respond promptly to emergencies
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Strong communication skills for parent interactions and teamwork within the classroom
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations including mandated reporting laws
