Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop operations, coordinating repair schedules and ensuring timely completion of all vehicle services
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine systems, electrical components, drivetrains, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to accurately identify problems and develop effective repair strategies
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire alignments, brake repairs, and engine overhauls with precision and attention to detail
- Oversee vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring the availability of essential equipment for repairs
- Mentor and supervise technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices for automotive repair
Skills
- Extensive dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical systems
- Skilled in diagnosing complex issues using automotive diagnostic tools and software
- Deep knowledge of engine technology, including diesel engines, powertrain components, and engine repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling manual tasks such as component removal or installation
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance protocols
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing auto body repair, automotive electrical systems, and general mechanical repairs
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards, hand tools, power tools, and heavy-duty lifting equipment
