Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create a positive learning atmosphere, develop age-appropriate curricula, and support children's social, emotional, and educational growth. Your passion for working with children will help foster a love of learning and ensure each child's well-being.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and nature inspired methods.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Develop individualized activities for children requiring special education or early intervention services to promote inclusive learning experiences
- Monitor and assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate, adjusting activities to meet developmental needs
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and social skills among children
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns about welfare or development
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and classroom experience enhancements
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children setting; classroom experience in early childhood education is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early intervention and special education
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged
- Passion for nurturing children's growth and creating a supportive learning environment
