About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our team in Houston! In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified skilled trades professionals across a variety of projects, including Construction, Manufacturing, Electrical, Plumbing, and more. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and field leadership to fill high-impact roles quickly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Source and recruit candidates for skilled trades positions including electricians, carpenters, welders, HVAC techs, plumbers, machinists, and more.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating with hiring managers, and making offers.
- Develop relationships with candidates, understand their experience, and align them with the right job opportunities.
- Partner with hiring managers to forecast hiring needs and create proactive talent pipelines.
- Utilize job boards, referrals, social media, and local workforce networks to find candidates.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, trade tests, and onboarding tasks.
- Track recruitment activity, maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS), and generate reports as needed.
- Represent the company at job fairs, trade schools, and community hiring events in the Houston area.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in skilled trades, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the local Houston market and labor landscape.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in ATS systems, job boards, and sourcing tools (e.g., Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is REQUIRED.
