Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Acquire and maintain an advanced level of clinical-scientific knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area(s) and/or disease state(s) related to CSL Behring’s products. Maintain a basic level of clinical-scientific knowledge about the broader portfolio of CSL Behring’s products and the diseases they treat.
- Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Gather and evaluate new information as it applies to CSL Behring’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
- Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare
- Professionals (HCPs) in objective-based interactions with which to develop professional
- relationships and exchange clinical-scientific information relevant to CSL Behring’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
- Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Behring’s Investigator Study (IIS) program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
- Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific,
- educational, and conference setting interactions.
- Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).
- Attend scientific and medical meetings.
- Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions.
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education
Doctoral level or advanced degree in a Medical and/or scientific field is preferred, however, a degree in a Medical and/or scientific field with strong relevant experience isrequired.
Experience
Three years in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare experience is required
with a minimum of 2 years as a MSL.
Limited exception for strong clinical and research experience in the assigned TA.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a dynamic, field-based environment.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills; be able to communicate and teach others complex scientific information and credibly manage informal and formal scientific conversations and presentations.
This field-based role can require up to 75% travel including weekend work and requires demonstration of effective virtual communication skills.
