Job Overview
The Refurbishment Support Technician supports the refurbishment service department by assisting with golf cart preparation, inventory movement, painting, washing, and general shop operations. This position plays an essential role in ensuring golf carts are efficiently moved through the refurbishment process and are completed to company quality standards. The Refurbishment Support Technician provides hands-on support to technicians, maintains organized work areas, and assists with various shop and facility tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with golf cart refurbishment, assembly, repair, and customization projects.
- Move golf carts between storage areas and service areas.
- Retrieve, organize, and deliver parts, materials, tools, and supplies needed for shop operations.
- Wash, clean, detail, and prepare golf carts throughout various stages of the refurbishment process.
- Assist with sanding, masking, painting preparation, and finishing tasks as directed.
- Install decals, accessories, trim components, seats, windshields, lights, and other golf cart components.
- Perform basic assembly and light repair tasks under the direction of technicians and supervisors.
- Pull units for production, delivery, transfer, or inspection and ensure carts are properly staged.
- Maintain organization of inventory, production areas, workstations, and storage locations.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing incoming golf carts, parts, batteries, and accessories.
- Ensure golf carts are properly charged, labeled, and ready for production or delivery.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading golf carts for deliveries, transfers, and customer pickups.
- Perform light facility maintenance such as sweeping, trash removal, organizing work areas, changing light bulbs, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Operate company vehicles, golf carts, and equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Report damaged equipment, safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, or quality issues to management.
- Assist other departments as needed and perform miscellaneous duties assigned by supervisors.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help where needed to support team success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- High energy and fast paced, with an ability to effectively multitask.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and follow a daily and weekly schedule of regular tasks.
- Ability to complete all tasks by the assigned deadlines.
- Ability to wash, maintain, and perform light repairs on golf cars without causing damage.
- Friendly personality and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well with a team and support all team members with a “Whatever It Takes” attitude and willingness to help others regardless of job description.
- Clean driver’s license, clean criminal record and background check. We are also a drug-free workplace.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
