Job Summary:
Position Overview
Visions Konect is seeking experienced and dependable Maintenance Contractors to perform residential and commercial property maintenance services throughout Northern and Central New Jersey. Contractors will complete assigned work orders, repairs, turnovers, preventative maintenance tasks, and exterior property services while maintaining professional workmanship and customer service standards.
This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who have experience in general maintenance, property repairs, and field service operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned maintenance and repair work orders independently and efficiently
- Perform general repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and exterior maintenance
- Complete apartment turnovers and vacancy preparation tasks
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify repair solutions
- Maintain professional communication with tenants, property managers, and office staff
- Upload before and after photos, completion notes, and time tracking documentation through company systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and according to company standards
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Properly use and maintain personal tools and equipment
- Report safety hazards, material needs, or recurring maintenance concerns to management
- Respond to emergency or priority service calls when available
Contractor Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance, handyman, or property maintenance experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess own tools and equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Smartphone required for work order management, photos, and communication
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must maintain professional appearance and conduct while representing Visions Konect
Preferred Experience
- Property management maintenance
- Apartment turnovers
- HUD, HQS, or NSPIRE inspection-related repairs
- Exterior property maintenance and light landscaping
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Compensation & Work Structure
- 1099 Independent Contractor position

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
