Position Summary
· The Manufacturing Facility Mechanic is responsible for maintaining all production equipment, machinery, and the facility to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports continuous production by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Inspect, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment, including mixers, laminators, cutting machines, and material handling systems.
· Perform facility upkeep duties such as minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
· Conduct routine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance logs for all equipment.
· Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime.
· Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain spare parts inventory and place orders for repair materials when needed.
· Ensure all work adheres to company safety policies, OSHA standards, and ISO/AS9100 requirements.
· Support facility projects including equipment installation, layout modifications, and safety improvements.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance required.
· Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
· Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and safely operate tools and equipment.
· Comfortable working in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
Schedule
· Full-time, Monday–Friday 0600-1430 with occasional overtime or weekend work to support maintenance activities.
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
