Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs
- Explain recommended services clearly, including auto diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Prepare detailed auto estimates for repairs such as oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, suspension, tire service, and more
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional services like alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, or auto body repair to enhance customer value
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing automotive care
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with automotive service management and customer relations
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, air brakes, suspensions, and alignments
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures across various makes and models
- Experience with auto estimating software and service writing to generate accurate work orders
- Excellent sales ability with a focus on upselling complementary services such as tire service or shocks & struts
- Familiarity with mechanic experience related to oil changes, brake repair, diesel engines, and auto body repair
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with cash handling proficiency
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety protocols to ensure quality service delivery
