Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
- Take medical histories and record patient information accurately in the system.
- Assist in the management of medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist dentists during procedures effectively.
- Conduct medical imaging as necessary, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience with Dentrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
