Human Resources Manager
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager who can bring structure, consistency, and strong people leadership to a growing organization.
This is not a behind-the-scenes HR position. The Human Resources Manager will be visible throughout the company, working directly with employees, managers, and senior leadership. The person in this role will help shape how the organization attracts talent, develops employees, supports managers, and builds a workplace where people can be successful.
We are looking for someone who combines sound HR judgment with a practical, business-minded approach. The right individual understands that effective HR is about more than policies and administration—it is about understanding the business, earning the trust of employees, helping managers become better leaders, and addressing issues before they become larger problems.
What You Will Own
Employee & Manager Support
- Build strong working relationships with employees and leadership.
- Serve as a resource and sounding board for managers navigating employee and performance issues.
- Address employee concerns fairly, consistently, and professionally.
- Guide managers through coaching, performance improvement, corrective action, and difficult conversations.
- Help leadership identify and address workplace trends that may affect morale, productivity, or retention.
Talent & Hiring
- Partner with managers to determine hiring needs and define what successful candidates look like.
- Manage recruiting efforts from initial sourcing and screening through interviews and offers.
- Improve the candidate experience and maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
- Create an effective onboarding experience that helps new employees become productive and connected quickly.
- Develop relationships and recruiting resources that strengthen the company's long-term talent pipeline.
Culture & Employee Experience
- Help leadership maintain a positive, accountable, and performance-oriented culture.
- Develop programs that improve communication, engagement, recognition, and retention.
- Look for opportunities to strengthen the employee experience throughout the full employment lifecycle.
- Gather employee feedback and translate it into practical recommendations for leadership.
- Support company events and initiatives that strengthen teamwork and communication.
Performance & Development
- Improve and manage the company's performance review process.
- Help managers establish clear expectations and measurable goals for employees.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
- Support career development and succession planning for key positions.
- Help develop stronger managers by providing practical HR guidance and coaching.
HR Operations
- Ensure employee information, documentation, and HR systems remain accurate and organized.
- Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and employee status changes.
- Coordinate with payroll and outside partners to ensure employee information is processed accurately.
- Evaluate current HR processes and recommend ways to make them more efficient and user-friendly.
- Maintain appropriate policies and practices while ensuring the company remains compliant with employment requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Broad HR experience with meaningful responsibility for employee relations and manager support.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make sound decisions.
- Experience recruiting and supporting employees across different functions and levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- A practical understanding of employment practices and workplace compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance immediate employee needs with longer-term HR priorities.
- Confidence working directly with senior leadership while remaining approachable to employees.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; professional HR certification is a plus.
The Person Who Will Succeed Here
You are someone who likes to solve problems rather than simply process paperwork.
You know when an HR issue requires urgency and when it requires patience. Employees trust you because you listen and communicate clearly. Managers value you because you provide practical guidance rather than simply quoting policy. Leadership relies on you because you understand how people decisions affect the business.
You are comfortable walking into an HR function, learning what works, identifying what needs improvement, and taking ownership of making it better.
Most importantly, you enjoy being part of the organization. You want to know the employees, understand the business, and have a meaningful voice in how the company continues to grow.
