A Brighter Day Recuperative Care is currently hiring compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with a strong interest in behavioral health. This role involves delivering high-quality care to homeless adults with co-occurring mental and physical health conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior
- Support clients with mental health needs in a trauma-informed setting
- Collaborate with nurses and behavioral health staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Promote a safe and dignified environment
Requirements:
- Current CNA certification in California
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
- CPR/BLS & First Aid certification
- Fingerprint clearance (LiveScan), TB test, and health screening
- Strong communication and observation skills
Preferred:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care or homeless services
