Join our vibrant team as a Recreation Director and become a key driver of joy, engagement, and well-being within our gymnastics community. The Recreational Director oversees the planning, development, and daily operation of recreational gymnastics programs. This role focuses on providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where participants of all ages and skill levels can develop gymnastics skills, build confidence, and improve physical fitness. The director manages program administration, staff supervision, customer relations, and facility operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate recreational gymnastics programs for preschool, youth, and teenage children.
- Create class schedules, seasonal programming, camps, clinics, special events, and open gym activities.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, mentor, and evaluate gymnastics coaches and support staff.
- Ensure all instructors follow proper gymnastics techniques, safety procedures, and risk management protocols.
- Monitor participant progress and maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Manage program registration, enrollment, attendance, and class placement.
- Respond to incidents, injuries, and parent or participant concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Build positive relationships with families, participants, schools, and community organizations.
- Analyze participation data and customer feedback to improve program quality and expand offerings.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall facility operations and organizational goals.
