Key Responsibilities – RV Service Technician
As an RV Service Technician, you will:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair RV and trailer systems
- Perform repairs on LP gas systems, appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Work with 12V and 120VAC electrical systems
- Complete living-quarters repairs including refrigerators, generators, water heaters, and AC units
- Perform brake, axle, and bearing service
- Complete warranty repairs requiring Onan, Dometic, and manufacturer certifications
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Document repairs accurately and communicate with service advisors as needed
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal RV Service Technician will have:
- RVIA certification or equivalent experience (preferred, not required)
- Experience with Onan generators, Dometic systems, and RV appliances
- Strong electrical, plumbing, and LP system knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot schematics and electrical shorts
- Welding or fabrication experience (aluminum or steel) a plus
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and grow as technology evolves
Physical & Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and work in shop environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to move, drive, or tow RVs and trailers as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Position Details
- Job Title: RV Service Technician / Certified RV Service Technician
- Location: Vidor, TX (on-site)
- Pay: Competitive, based on experience and certifications.
- Pay Range: $60,000 – $90,000+ (hourly plus uncapped commission opportunity)
- Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (Saturdays as needed/rotating) | Opportunity for overtime
