Position Overview
We're looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated social media manager to help grow our online presence and build a strong community around our brand. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys photography, videography, storytelling, and creating engaging content that reflects our brand.
This is a part-time hybrid position, requiring both in-store content creation and remote editing, planning, and scheduling.
Schedule
- 15–25 hours per week
- Hybrid (in-store + remote)
- Flexible schedule with required in-store visits during busy periods, events, and new menu launches
- Must be available to attend occasional evenings or weekends for special events and content opportunities
Compensation
- $500 per week to complete deliverables
- Opportunity for performance-based raises and bonuses as the business grows
Content Creation
- Visit the shop frequently to capture fresh content
- Photograph and film drinks, food, staff, customers (with permission), and the atmosphere
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments, seasonal launches, and day-to-day operations
- Create engaging reels, TikToks, stories, and feed posts
Social Media Management
- Plan and maintain a consistent posting schedule
- Schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Write captions that match the brand voice and personality
- Monitor comments and direct messages, responding when appropriate
- Stay current on social media trends and adapt them to fit our brand
Marketing & Growth
- Develop monthly content calendars
- Promote seasonal menus, events, merchandise, and promotions
- We have new specials on the first of each month which is one of the biggest concepts of the shop
- Brainstorm creative marketing campaigns and community engagement ideas
- Help increase followers, engagement, and customer visits through strategic content
Brand Management
- Ensure all content reflects the brand identity:
- Cozy
- Seasonal
- Friendly
- Casual
- Personable
- Playful
- Maintain a consistent visual style and tone across all platforms.
Community & Partnerships
- Coordinate with local influencers and creators
- Assist in planning giveaways, collaborations, and community events
- Capture content during special events
Analytics
- Track monthly performance metrics
- Report on engagement, reach, follower growth, and content performance
- Recommend improvements based on analytics
Qualifications
- Has experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Has strong photography and videography skills
- Is comfortable editing videos using apps such as CapCut, Adobe, Canva, or similar software
- Understands current social media trends and short-form video
- Has excellent written communication skills
- Is organized and able to work independently
- Has reliable transportation for in-store content days
- Previous experience managing business social media accounts is preferred
- Coffee, cafe, hospitality, or food photography experience is a plus
- Knows about coffee or is willing to learn basics
Weekly & Monthly Deliverables
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for consistently producing and maintaining the following:
Weekly Deliverables
- 3-4 feed posts across Instagram and Facebook
- 2-3 reels/Tiktoks
- Daily Instagram Stories (7 days per week), including behind-the-scenes content, drink features, polls, customer interactions, and promotions
- Capture enough photo and video content during in-store visits to support upcoming content
- Respond to comments and direct messages within 24 hours during scheduled workdays
- Monitor trends and pitch at least one new content idea each week
Monthly Deliverables
- Submit a content calendar for the upcoming month at least one week before the new month begins
- Attend and capture content for all monthly menu launches and events
- Create promotional content for all monthly specials, new menu items, and announcements
- Provide a monthly performance report including:
- Reach
- Engagement
- Follower growth
- Top-performing content
- Recommendations for future content
- Organize and upload all photos and videos into a shared content library for future use
Brand Standards
Every piece of content should:
- Match the visual brand and tone
- Be professionally edited and free of spelling or grammatical errors
- Showcase our products in an appealing, authentic way
- Highlight our cozy atmosphere, quality ingredients, and community-focused experience
- Be approved before posting when required for new campaigns or major announcements
Performance Expectations
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Consistently meeting weekly content deliverables
- Growth in followers and engagement across platforms
- Increased awareness of seasonal products and promotions
- Consistent brand presentation
- Reliability in meeting deadlines and maintaining the content schedule
- Bringing fresh, creative marketing ideas that help grow the business
