Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting various maintenance tasks across our premises. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control throughout the facility
- Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs on pipes, fixtures, and systems to prevent leaks and ensure proper operation
- Utilize welding skills for metal repairs and fabrication as needed for facility upgrades or repairs
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing maintenance painting, carpentry work, and general building interior upkeep
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently
- Support maintenance painting projects to enhance the appearance of interior spaces
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems when applicable
- Lead or assist with maintenance operations involving MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Skilled in electrical work, including repair of electrical equipment and understanding schematics
- Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Knowledge of HVAC systems repair, including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, filters, and ductwork
- Experience with welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Strong understanding of building interior maintenance practices including carpentry and painting
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated facility systems is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork
- Leadership qualities to support or supervise maintenance projects when required
