Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
- Provide detailed product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed decisions
- Assist with merchandising efforts, including stocking shelves and organizing displays to maximize visual appeal
- Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, highlighting benefits and upselling where appropriate
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock replenishments, and managing backstock efficiently
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
- Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with familiarity in cashiering and basic retail math
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Experience supervising or leading team members is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities in a retail setting
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering best practices
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays creatively and efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and problem-solving skills to handle inquiries professionally
