American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, with ARRT-CT certification and trauma/angiogram experience required.

Work in the main Radiology department of a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
-
Inpatient and outpatient setting serving adult patients and occasional pediatric outpatients/ED cases
-
Average caseload of approximately 4 patients per hour (40 patients per day) at a 1:1 ratio
-
All GE CT equipment in use; EMR is Cerner
-
10-hour day shifts starting at 6:00 AM, 40 hours per week
-
Shift lengths may vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours depending on departmental needs
-
Weekend rotation varies, typically once per month but subject to change based on departmental needs
-
On-call is voluntary
-
Holiday coverage is expected per hospital policy for one major and one minor seasonal holiday

May float to different areas within the Radiology department

Current BLS and ARRT certification required; ARRT-CT required
-
State license required if applicable
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience required; strong experience with required skills preferred

First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience with required skills
-
Trauma and angiogram experience required

Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred

CT biopsy drainage experience preferred

Cerner EMR experience beneficial

Ability to work with adult and occasional pediatric patient populations

One reference from a charge-level position or above from the past 12 months required for consideration

DOB (day and month) required for consideration

Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2–3 shifts on the unit alongside another technologist on day shift
-
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler at this facility

An interview is required as part of the selection process
