The Hospitality Attendant is primarily responsible for effective customer service techniques to welcome guests to the estate and guide them through meaningful wine and food tasting experiences. They will promote the sale of wine, Insider Membership and other Center of Effort products utilizing effective sale strategies. They will create relationships with Insider members to enhance the Center of Effort experience. This role requires working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service. Standards of quality and presentation must be enforced, with a focus on details, accuracy and quality guest interaction. This position is eligible for gratuity compensation as clarified in the Corbett Vineyards, LLC Employee Handbook.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
· Welcome Center of Effort guests, execute wine and food service tastings appointments, events and private dining experiences. Ability to respond to customer questions and solve challenges as they arise.
· Can accurately describe culinary offerings, wines, wine making techniques, winery history, and unique aspects of COE wines.
· Prepare the space for guest arrival and maintain sufficient levels of supplies for customer comfort and ease of efficient operation.
· Effectively promotes and sells wine, events and Insider memberships to customers.
· Accurately manage sales transactions, including operating cash register, joining customers to the membership, shipping transactions and wine club shipment releases.
· Participate and assists with special hospitality events that occur at the winery and outside functions as needed.
· Washes and polishes glassware for tasting room, attends to overall cleanliness of hospitality environment and service ware.
· Follow all health and safety requirements to maintain our SLO County EHS Food Service Permit in good standing, in addition to complying with internal SOPs established by the Hospitality Manager, Culinary Manager and Direct to Consumer Manager.
Qualifications:
· Must be willing and able to work weekdays with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
· Prior wine tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality experience a plus.
· Ability to set priorities and work independently within set guidelines; display appropriate sense of urgency.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently, problem solve.
· Positive and professional attitude; self-motivated.
· Strong attention to detail.

· Must maintain CA Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers certifications from an accredited provider.
· Completes all required personnel paperwork, i.e. timecards, missed meal forms, incident reports, etc.
· Ability to lift, move, and safely carry up to 50 lbs.
· Must be at least 21 years old.
Pay starts at $18/ hour with the ability to receive additional tips and gratuity compensation.
