Responsibilities

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
- Handle cash and manage cash handling procedures accurately.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques.
- Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding phone etiquette and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
- Proficiency in cashiering procedures, including cash handling and POS operation.
- Ability to supervise junior staff or assist in training new employees is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to enhance product visibility and appeal.
