American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel contract at a 536-bed academic teaching hospital in Portland, OR, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and Epic proficiency.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 536 total staff beds at a teaching hospital
-
Cath Lab unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:00)

On-call is required on both weekdays and weekends
-
Floating between sister facilities within the state is expected and may include locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent

Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff

Epic EMR is used and experience is required
-
No weekend requirement outside of on-call obligations

Active OR RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration

At least 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Teaching hospital experience preferred given facility type

A personal vehicle is required for this assignment

2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) including location and dates

First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position

Floating to other units and facilities is common and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
-
When floated to the Seaside facility from a non-Seaside contracted location, travelers receive a $5/hr incentive for hours worked there, IRS mileage reimbursement, and a hotel if floating for consecutive shifts

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
-
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a lower bill rate
-
Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be granted

Candidates with background check hits or Nursys issues are not accepted by this facility
