The Role
Premier Curb of Cincinnati specializes in slip form concrete curb, but we also perform various types of flatwork & rehab work. We are seeking a couple experienced and motivated concrete finishers to join our team! We are not just looking for anyone with a trowel - we need concrete finishers who understand the craft and are ready to tackle diverse projects and specialized curb work. Curb work represents one of the most visible and technically demanding aspects of concrete finishing. Unlike standard flatwork, curb installation requires precision, attention to detail, and specialized knowledge of plan specifications, municipal standards, and DOT specifications. This work involves creating clean, straight lines with proper slopes and grades - skills that separate experienced finishers from novices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience finishing concrete is required. Experience as a curb finisher strongly preferred.
- Stringline installation, machine pouring, hand pouring, & curing
- Ability to set forms and grade stone
- Understanding of grade stakes and site layout
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Curb work is physically demanding and the candidate must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, and work in various weather conditions. Physical stamina is essential for maintaining quality work during long pours.
- Every member of the crew is critical to it's function, and the crew is only as strong as its weakest link. The candidate must be dependable and reliable.
- Dependable transportation is critical
- Flexibility in work hours is important. Construction schedules often require long days and overtime to meet project deadlines. Weekend work is not typical, but may be required at times

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
