Reports To: Hospitality and Operations Director
Position Summary
The Ronald McDonald Guest Services Coordinator ensures that guests experience a smooth, comfortable, and secure stay. This hands-on position oversees all aspects of daily operations including guest check-in/check-out, room readiness, facility upkeep, light food service, and guest satisfaction. The Guest Services Coordinator creates a welcoming hospitable atmosphere while supporting families with compassion during their child’s medical journey. Shift hours available for this position are Sun-Sat 4pm – Midnight, and Sat-Sun 8am-4pm.
Essential Functions
Guest Services and Hospitality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests
- Receive and approve guest check-ins, confirming appropriate referral and eligibility
- Greet and check families in and out, ensuring accurate records and a seamless process
- Provide orientation to the House, amenities, and policies
- Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns with courtesy and professionalism
- Provide shuttle transportation to and from nearby hospitals using the House van
- Deliver a clean, comfortable, and safe "home away from home" experience
Housekeeping and Facility Oversight
- Monitor guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, sanitizing surfaces, and room resets
- Report maintenance needs promptly and oversee resolution where appropriate
- Ensure kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organized, and well-stocked
Safety and Security
- Uphold and monitor safety, security, and emergency protocols
- Perform walkthroughs of the facility throughout shifts
- Manage access to the House and ensure guest compliance with rules and regulations
- Respond to emergencies with calm, confident action
Administrative and Team Collaboration
- Maintain guest records and shift logs
- Manage guest referrals, intake, stays and departures using a reservation management system to ensure accurate records and efficient room assignments
- Assist with administrative tasks including inventory tracking, shift handovers, and reporting
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management, Human Services, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or nonprofit settings
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, empathetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
- Comfortable performing cleaning and food preparation tasks
- Proficient in basic computer systems (email, guest management platforms, Excel)
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
- Driving required as part of shuttle responsibilities

Pay: $17.50 per hour
