NOW HIRING – TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS & SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
Mid State Carts is looking for a seriously tech-savvy problem solver to join our team.
This is NOT a basic golf cart mechanic position.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys figuring out difficult problems — especially problems involving electronics, computers, software, communication systems, controllers, batteries, and vehicle electrical systems.
Golf cart experience is NOT required.
Your background could be in:
- Computers / Software Electronics Automotive Diagnostics EV / Electric Vehicles Robotics / Mechatronics Engineering Industrial Controls CAN-Bus Systems Lithium Batteries / BMS Programming / Firmware Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting
We need someone who can be handed a problem that doesn’t have an obvious answer and work through it logically until they figure out what is actually happening.
Examples of the type of work you may encounter:
Diagnosing intermittent electrical problems Connecting vehicles to computers and diagnostic software Troubleshooting lithium batteries and BMS communication Diagnosing CAN-Bus communication issues Testing controllers, sensors, wiring and electrical systems Working with firmware, parameters and configuration software Capturing and analyzing diagnostic data Researching unfamiliar systems and communicating with manufacturers to find solutions Helping us solve technical problems other technicians haven’t been able to figure out
We work with everything from traditional golf carts to newer lithium-powered carts and street-legal electric vehicles with increasingly sophisticated electronic systems.
We are NOT looking for someone who simply changes parts until the problem goes away.
We want the person who wants to know WHY it failed.
If you’re the person your friends or coworkers bring something to when nobody else can figure it out, we want to talk to you.
We are willing to consider someone without golf cart experience if you have exceptional technical ability and are willing to learn.
Mid State Carts – Central Florida
Pay based on experience and technical ability. Exceptional talent will be compensated accordingly.
Interested? Send us a message with your background, experience, and — most importantly — tell us about one of the hardest technical problems you’ve ever diagnosed and solved.
Please share — the person we’re looking for may not realize a golf cart company needs someone with their skill set.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
