Greenwich Sports Medicine is a high end chiropractic sports medicine facility looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is skilled in rehabilitative care and corrective exercise with special attention to athlete care. Our state-of-the-art facility is located in Greenwich CT. We provide on-site care to many New York Professional Sports Teams and Division-1 collegiate athletes. We are in search of a highly engaged professional that desires working in an office environment as well as an athletic setting. The desired candidate must possess skills of high-level soft tissue care, such as ART [Active Release Technique] coupled with skilled movement and rehabilitation/exercise capabilities. Must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for creating programs to take patients from an injured state to strength and conditioning . Physical Therapist Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in kinesiology, sports medicine or other related field
- 3-5 years of Personal Training/Corrective Exercise experience
- Certified Personal Trainer: ACE, ACSM, CSCS, NASM, NFPT, NSCA (Minimum of One Certification)
This is a full time position - including rotating Saturdays.
Job Duties:
- Perform comprehensive biomechanical and movement assessments to identify dysfunctions contributing to pain or decreased performance.
- Design individualized rehabilitation protocols based on each patient's injury, diagnosis, functional limitations, and goals.
- Restore restricted joint mobility through manual therapy techniques and targeted mobility interventions.
- Develop progressive exercise programs to improve strength, stability, flexibility, balance, and functional movement.
- Educate patients on proper exercise technique, stretching, posture, and body mechanics to encourage long-term independence and injury prevention.
- Instruct patients in home exercise programs and self-care strategies to maximize recovery between visits.
- Perform computerized gait and movement analysis using the Noraxon motion analysis system.
- Conduct objective performance testing using force plates to evaluate balance, power, asymmetries, and return-to-sport readiness.
- Administer extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) when clinically indicated to promote tissue healing and pain reduction.
- Apply and monitor Game Ready cryotherapy/compression treatments to assist with pain management, swelling reduction, and post-exercise recovery.
- Monitor patient progress through objective testing and regularly modify rehabilitation programs based on clinical findings.
- Assist patients in safely progressing from rehabilitation to higher-level strength, conditioning, and sports performance activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment while ensuring all rehabilitation equipment is functioning properly.
- Help educate patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and strategies for maintaining long-term musculoskeletal health.
- Provide motivation, coaching, and accountability to help patients remain consistent with their rehabilitation plans.
- Promote a positive, patient-centered environment focused on exceptional customer service and clinical excellence.
- Stay current with evidence-based rehabilitation techniques, sports medicine research, and advancements in performance technology.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver comprehensive, individualized patient care.
