Responsibilities
- Lead structured swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring water conditions and enforcing safety rules
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and provide constructive feedback to improve student performance
- Incorporate fun and motivational activities to keep students engaged and encourage continuous progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members about student progress and safety protocols
- Support water-based sports activities such as water polo or synchronized swimming when needed
Skills
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or in water safety supervision is highly desirable
- Strong background in sports coaching, teaching, or physical education instruction
- Proficiency in swimming techniques across different strokes and levels of difficulty
- Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate or Judo can enhance instructional versatility
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings with excellent behavior management skills
- Ability to teach physical education concepts through engaging activities like basketball, cheerleading, climbing or martial arts
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate with team members effectively
