Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and collecting medical histories with accuracy and sensitivity.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support during emergencies.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans.
- Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records efficiently.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
- Conduct ICD coding and maintain accurate medical documentation to facilitate billing and compliance processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, billing, coding (ICD), and managing electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support accurate patient assessments.
- Skilled in phlebotomy techniques, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support certification.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
